A robust Pinterest-like grid section that elegantly displays posts or pages. Includes sorting and lightboxing as well as different title styles.

Installation & Activation

Masonic can easily be downloaded from inside WordPress using Extend.

  1. Download the plugin from Extend. It will now appear in your Plugins tab.
  2. Click Plugins, and find your Masonic plugin (titled PageLines Section Masonic).
  3. Click Activate to be able to use the plugin inside your editor.
  4. Go to your PageLines Builder where you will now find Masonic in the Content Formats section.


As with all section, the Masonic section includes the Standard Section Options such as padding/margin, background options and etc.

Enter text into the field, to add a title to the Masonic section. This is positioned top left.

Gallery Format
Control how text appears on your Masonic items, you can select between:

  • Title on Bottom: Captions appear below the Masonic image.
  • Hover over Title: Captions appear when hovering over the Masonic item.

Select Media Size
Control the size of your media, choosing between:

  • Landscape 2:1
  • Square 1:1
  • Random - Mixture of both landscape and square.

Which Post Type should we use?
Control what Post type populates Masonic, you can choose from pages, posts and any custom post types created.

Filter by
Allows you to filter the content by either category, post tag or post format.

Sort Elements
Allows you to Sort the content by Date, Name, Random or ID.

Number of Posts Displayed
Select the number of items to be displayed, you can select between 1-32 items.


The Masonic section can be inserted into a page, post or widget using the shortcode below. This is used as a quick reference and we recommend including a unique ID.
