How to Use the Website Setup Settings

Website Setup is generally the first thing people configure when they activate PageLines. These are the options that get your logo, brand name, and other custom elements up on your site.

From your WordPress Administration Panel:

1. Select the "PageLines" panel, then "Settings"
2. Select the "Website Setup" tab to show the following options:

This is the main logo of your site. It appears as the "Branding" section inside the Template Setup

1. Click "Upload Image"
   • Browse your computer & select the image you want uploaded
   • Supports .png, .jpg, & .gif
2. Click "Save Options"

If you already uploaded a custom image to your server, simply type the full URL of the image & click "Save Options"

Favicon Image

A Favicon is a small, 16x16 image that is shown inside the browser when your site is called up. It is a good way to brand your site and increase it's prominence in your visitor's bookmark menu.

Browsers typically display a page's favicon in the browser's address bar and next to the page's name in a list of bookmarks. Browsers that support a tabs typically show a page's favicon next to the page's title on the tab, and site-specific browsers use the favicon as desktop icon.

You can create your own Favicon by using programs such as Adobe Photoshop, or you can simply type a Google search for "favicon generator" and choose from among hundreds of different websites.

From your WordPress Administration Panel.

1. Click "Upload Image"
   • Browse your computer & select the icon you want uploaded
   • Must be .png or .ico file - 16px by 16px
2. Click "Save Options"

If you already uploaded a Favicon to your server, simply type the full URL of the Favicon & click "Save Options"

Twitter Integration

You can place your most recent Tweets directly on your site.

Configure Twitter username:

1. Under "Twitter Integration," type your Twitter Username
2. Click "Save Options"

Remove Twitter Bar from "Morefoot Area"

From your WordPress Administration Panel

1. Select the "PageLines" panel, then "Templates"
2. Under the "Template Area," select "Morefoot"
3. Drag the "Twitter Bar" section from the "Active Sections" over to the "Available/Disabled Sections"
4. The Section Order will save automatically

Login Page Image

One of the new features in PageLines 2.0 is the ability to easily add a custom image to the Login Page. This feature is great for client sites!

1. Click "Upload Image"
   • Browse your computer & select an image that is approximately 80px in height
2. Click "Save Options"

Apple Touch Image

Enter the full URL location of your Apple Touch Icon which is visible when your users set your site as a Web Clip in Apple Iphone and Touch Products.

1. Click "Upload Image"
   • Browse your computer & select an image that is approximately 57px by 57px in either .jpg, .gif or .png format.
2. Click "Save Options"

Remove Default Sidebars When Empty

If you don't have any Widgets activated, PageLines will automatically display the following four widgets:

• Categories
• Articles
• Calendar
• Meta

If you do not want to display these widgets, (or any others for that matter) this setting allows you to remove them.

1. Check "Hide Sadebars When Empty"
2. Click "Save Options"

With this method you will still have an empty space where the widgets would have gone. If you want your website's content to take up that space, your must change your layout using the Layout Editor

Sidebar Wrap Widgets

If the Sidebar Wrap section is enabled, this setting controls its position in relation to the Primary/Secondary Sidebar.

1. Click the dropdown & select either "On Top of Sidebar" or "On Bottom of Sidebar"
2. Click "Save Options"
