From the Special Page Settings tab, you can set meta properties for several WordPress pages including Archive, Category, Tag and Author pages.

VERY, VERY DRAFT!!!!! Feeling out how to organize this and not duplicate other documentation areas...

Contents

Meta Settings

The below example sets the meta for the Archive Page. Follow similar steps for all special pages. Examples for other pages at the end of this tutorial.

From your WordPress Administration Panel:

  1. Under Pagelines, select the "Special" panel.
  2. Choose the page to edit. For this example, the Archive page is selected.

Page Setup Meta

From the "Select Settings Panel":

  1. Choose "Page Setup"
  2. Set page specific content layout to override the default Pagelines layout settings
  3. Choose to show or hide sections
  4. Select background image
  5. Select secondary navigation menu
  • Note that for sections to be available, they must be activated in the Pagelines Settings Template Setup panel. (make link to this page or make image for an example)

Section Meta

As long as sections are active in the template (link here), you can set the meta from the Special Page Meta Settings Panel:

  1. Choose the section from Select Settings Panel
  2. Set the meta
    • For detailed documentation on meta settings for each section, see the documentation for those sections
    • If you have a cloned section in your template (for example: "Boxes Section (Clone #1)" boxes or "Feature Meta (Clone #2)", you can also set the meta for those sections

Inactive Sections

If the section shows "Inactive":

  1. Click on the section under "Select Settings Panel"
  2. Click on "Inactive On Template"
    • This will take you to the Pagelines Settings Panel
  3. Click on "Template Setup"
  4. Under Template Area, select "Page Templates" or "Content Area" depending on where you would like to activate the section
  5. Under "Which type of page?" select the Special Page. (For this example Archive Page)
  6. Drag & Drop to add/activate the section (See Template Setup documentation)
  7. Return to the Special Settings page to view the change. The section will now be active and meta settings can be set
