Love the way this theme functions.
A couple questions prior to purchase:
Is there a limit on how many pages/sections I can have roll with the functionality?
Will the menu create a new Block for any page/section I add?
Say hi to Ozone Theme, a single-page modern styled PageLines child theme. Ozone works great for just about anything, as you have full control over each panels content.
This theme is largely plug-and-play. Each section has been pre-designed, so all that’s needed to make Ozone Theme yours is to fill in the blanks. Or, are you feeling Commando? Supply a page ID and use your own content. It’s just that simple.
Features
Content Control: Each section of the theme is made of pre-designed content. You can toggle this content away by simply providing a page ID giving you ultimate control.
Tweets & Links: Display your last tweet, and show links to Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Github.
List Employees: Under the About section you can choose to display 0-10 employees with job titles and links to social networks, making City a great fit for freelancers on up to big business with multiple employees.
Portfolio Section: Create and display up to 20 different portfolio items, each with their own information and details. This Portfolio panel uses the same technology powered by the Projects section.
Gravity Form Support: The contact section has built in support for Gravity Forms. Simply turn on the Gravity Form option, and supply the ID of the form. It’s just that simple.
Latest Posts: Display any number of recent posts, along with the options to specify categories and grid article width.
Color & Layout Control: Ozone has been built to allow you full control over colors and the width of the layout of the entire site.
Setup Instructions
Ozone Theme is super easy to setup, provided you follow the directions. These directions can also be found under Dashboard–>Welcome in PageLines admin. I’ve setup this theme a few times using these steps and have not had any issues, and is setup in under 3 minutes.
- Install and activate the free Google Fonts plugin via the PageLines Store. The font used on Ozone Theme is Open Sans. Set Opens Sans for both Text Headers and Primary Font under Site Options–>Typography..
- Create a page called Home, and assign the ‘Home’ page template to it. Next, set that page as the front page of your site under WordPress Reading Options.
- Download the free settings file , unzip it, and install the enclosed .dat file under Import-Export within PageLines admin. This will set everything in the correct place, where it should be.
After following these steps, your theme should be setup correctly. If it doesn’t look like the demo, make sure that you have given the Home page, the ‘Home’ page template when you created the page in WordPress.

I like this child theme does your other plugins and sections work well into this theme? ie badass shortcodes.
Can the menu buttons have visual texted added?
Hi Nick! Love your theme! I don't understand the comments below, because it tooks me literlally 5 minutes to install. I have one question. Is it possible to add an extra menu item to the menu left above. Thank you! Chris
@Chrisje Alsters hahaha ya now you see where my confusion comes in when people say they can't install it. lol. Right now, no there is no option to add an additional box but I may be able to put that in on an update and have it link out somewhere. Have to put some thought into this one.
installed the theme tonight (it's awesome BTW) but am running into a problem where the sections continue to 'duplicate' down the page. i've searched and searched for why this would be happening but cannot find a reason anywhere. ideas? fix? www.curatiant.com will show you what I am seeing
@coreyrawdon Hi. Thats because you installed the section into the footer. There's a setup file in the Welcome panel. I would recommend using that so it sets up the theme automatically. Also, don't forget to turn off supersize under Color Options, the settings file fails to get this.
@nphaskins also, is there a way to make each section behave like the first one with the 'overtaking scrolling' action? i really like that and would like to apply to all sections.
and, from reading the comments below it appears that while i can override the sections with new pages (which i have done) i am unable to control how the page looks (i.e. i cannot split the page into two columns or add images or boxes of text). is that true? feels like that would be incorrect. for example: under use cases i would like to have several boxes of text that when clicked would open you to new pages to read more about each use-case
@coreyrawdon The theme is still usable loll. The settings file just makes it easy to apply the settings. As I've said before, if you post in the forum I'd be more than happy to walk you through setting it up. It's not that difficult at all.
@nphaskins correction: i did not set it up wrong. Yes, the ozone content was in the footer causing the duplication and that was my fault but the settings file will not upload. you've stated to me and another person that you cannot resolve as that you not an issue on your end... I understand that.
I also understand that it could be difficult to keep up in the comments here so appreciate the redirection to the support forum
All that being said, the template is current unusable for me. I did not indicate that this was a fault of yours but rather I am unable to install the settings file and thus without a master list of the correct settings I am unable to proceed. Thanks
First, in order to provide you better support, you'll need to post in the forum.
Second, the template is not "unusable" you just set it up wrong. If you post in the forum I would be happy to help guide you in to setting it up correctly.
I don't see why you would ask for a refund with something that you setup incorrectly. But at any rate, good luck.
@nphaskins @coreyrawdon hey there, thanks, after removing the content areas that worked. i did try to install the setup file; however, i got the same problem as a previous user in that after clicking to import it i am returned to a white screen so nothing happens. do you have a list somewhere of these settings manually so I can set them?
i do have supersize off; is there something on my site that leads you to believe it is still on?
@nphaskins ok thanks, but thats ok. i understand you saying that the white screen is a PHP error and that you cannot resolve/control but at the same time without having the manual settings to use I cannot adjust the template and thus it is rendered unusable for me. i will abandon the use of the template and look into getting a refund and go back to the standard pagelines. the template does look beautiful though so congrats on that
@coreyrawdon white screen is a php error with your host. There's nothing in the settings file that would do that.
As far as how the page looks, that's up to you. It will just stream in teh contents of another page using an ID.

Hey Nick, I'm assuming that in this theme you can not set your own background image? Or is there a way that we can use CSS to override this?
Hello N - I am starting a new thread as I feel that some questions have not been answered. I am back to the ozone theme - trying to make it work. I have entered an email address on the "home" upper right area (stationary area that appears on all pages). The envelope appears in the upper right but there is not a live link to connect to email. It does work properly on the "contact section". Also in the second section - about us - the text to the left and right of the centered box - I am trying to enter a Header and then drop to the next line for body text. It runs the text consecutively on the line even though I use a return key when formatting the text. Is there no way to work with text to refine various sizes and weights? Also, any way to create links into the box areas of personnel and portfolio? Thanks again.
@scanlondesign hi, email link has been fixed. Ozone is now at 1.0.2. For the links, or line breaks, unfortunately that isn't possible because this is being saved into the database so it's stripping all HTML out.
@nphaskins grazie. With regard to overriding a section - do I simply (as if anything has been simple) create a new page and that will provide me with the ID?

@nphaskins Hi NP - I have been experiencing a big problem with my browers (first Firefox and then Safari to a lesser degree) where the fonts on the Pagelines/wordpress related sites have extremely compressed the fonts - to a point where the choices are unreadable. I have uninstalled firefox to an older version, cleared cache, uninstalled plugins/themes/sections - nothing seems to help. Again, it only is happening since I have been working with Pagelines & wordpress. Thanks.
@scanlondesign HI, these things are an oversight, my apologies. I've fixed it to where if you dont' input anything for Worker Twitter, and/or Worker Facebook, nothing will show. I've also updated every option to allow shortcode (does not apply to image and link options).

@nphaskins Hi NP - short codes are visible in the contact area - should they be working? Also, links are not working in the employee area - I added the shortcode in one instance before the name and in another instance after the name - but it is not registering in either place. @scanlondesign Yup its' because Porter wasn't designed to handle those very large headings. Those 4 areas below, are really designed for 1 line only.
@nphaskins Hi NP - not sure if you saw the above post about padding issues in the "portfolio" area where the two columns of text butt right up to one another making it hard to read. Also the open text area for port image 1 falls behind the closed port image 5 - can this be corrected? I know your expectation is for limited text here - but it is really very limiting.Thanks again.
@scanlondesign HI, screenshots will not help. What I'm explaining is a limitation of PageLines itself. There is currently no possible way to include sections in the_content();. There isn't even a hack available because that's the way PageLines was built.
The "embed with page ID" features, utilize the_content(); function. That function, will embed the contents of the page you specify. The contents, are located in entry_content, which is the actual pages content.
PageLines sections, do not "technically" live on the page, but rather on that pages template (and outside of the_content(););
With a pages content, you can build anything using markup and most shortcodes.
@nphaskins I would like to send you a screen of the entire website layout. If you could tell me if I can accomplish it or not. If I create any random page but cannot use any of the pagelines sections - what content options are available? Can I email you the jpg of the website outline. I would need something like "twinshot" and two of these three types of content areas: quickslider, scrollex and/or decker. Thanks for your help.
@scanlondesign Right so just create any random page, and when you publish the page, you'll see an 2 or 3 digit ID in the browsers address bar. That's the ID for that page. Fill in that ID for whatever panel you want to override.
@nphaskins so if you can create a new page to override a section - how do you create the content to make it visible?

@scanlondesign PageLines sections will not work like that. The page ID content features uses the_content(), and PageLines sections aren't actually part of the page.
@nphaskins hello. I have set up a new page test_technology (which I am trying to use instead of your "about us" section 2. I am attempting to use "quick slider" to be able to work the data in that I need in this section. I can see my page id, I have published the page; I am using "no parent" , and "0" for order. When I go to the site - the "about us" area is now blank and I do not see the "quick slider" as I do when I view page or preview changes. I can't figure out what setting are off. My page id is 28 and I simply put 28 in content override area - panel 2. @nphaskins Hi NP. Spent a fair amount of time playing with ozone this weekend. A few questions. 1. Is it possible to insert a video in the portfolio section where the image box is with text to the left and to the right? 2. Is it possible to adjust the "padding" between text columns in the portfolio area when you click on the portfolio image and it expands with another image and two text columns. 3. When portfolio image is expanded - the text area of portfolio image 1 falls behind the portfolio image 5. The translucent "horizontal strip needs to be taller". conbriocreates.com/smartACR2

@nphaskins Hello - been a few days before I could get back to this. I am not clear where I put the shortcodes you just created. Also, I can't figure out how to use "Museo" for my "home" logo font. How much would you charge to help me with this - I would want to know how you did it so I can do it myself in the future?

@scanlondesign yup that's exactly right. when you publish a new page, you'll see the ID in the browsers address bar.
P.S - Going to add 2 shortcodes, so that you can use them to add links and spaces within the content area. This will be out tomorrow.

oops - see you answered the question about linked pdfs. where can I find out how to create the ID - and does that override the entire template or just a section or specific element of a section?
is there any way to in the about us and portfolio area - have the boxes be "linked pdfs" or links to another page - so I can build more info into these boxes
@scanlondesign please try to keep all your questions in one thread, it just makes it easier to answer instead of going from one to the next. You can provide your own page ID at the bottom of the options, and it will override the template, and use your own content.
