Hi Adam - Modern is indeed a beautiful theme  - I really, really love it.  I am using it for a private sales travel site - and it really lends itself well to that concept. I have changed the headers and footers to white and added a gray linen textured b/g. The site is really looking good - it's  very elegant.  Just a couple of feature suggestions.  It would be great if you could put the Pagelines Sitewide Background loader option back in - that would make it a whole lot easier to use patterned b/g's - which really looks good with this theme. And it is especially good in situation  where the designer is handing off the site to non-techies after the build.  The wonderful wave and zigzag headers just pop with the patterned background. Second thought - would love to see a light option for headers and footers - love the grunge gray - but a white footer/header option would be super cool.  Thanks so much for the great work you do in extending Pagelines themes, sections and plugins. Really nice work Adam!

ok, i am giving away my trade secrets :) but I i used  Banner Snack. Bannersnack.com. It is not a Photoshop by any means  but it just so happens that i know how to get things done fast with that program.  You create a small b/g and then insert your image and then  you will see an option that says "colorize". Select #ffffff (white)...Make sure sure you keep the opacity at 100%. save. if you want the background transparent you are going to have to strip that out in another program. I can tell you where to go for that as well. last step upload to the appropriate modern images folder in cpanel. If you need any additional help or clarification just ping me.
