Nick, tell me please, can we somehow change the page background? If possible, tell me where to change code for your image. I just started learning php, and this thing for me is impossible.
@EnteGrato Thanks for the answers! I also came to the conclusion that the backgrounds are stored somewhere, found them, and loaded instead of the default background your own. Ingenious solution :)
@EnteGratoI did not change the background with CSS. I made a background and uploaded it to the Beardwell image folder inside cpanel. If you need further explanation I am happy to assist.
@EnteGrato this particular theme is older so there's no options to change backgrounds, only the backgrounds that come with the different skins. You can use css to hide the template bg and show your own.
Is there a specific place to go to for support on this theme? I seem to be having an issue with the option page that continually tries to load without stopping. I can't set any items on that option page....help?
@jurnei This is the place! Sounds like you have a js issue. I would start deactivating all sections and plugins until you found the root of the cause.

@jurnei I think you're having some major GoDaddy issues honestly. The behavior you're describing is not normal at all. I host a lot of thing at HostGator. They are still cheap, but a lot better than GoDaddy. The only other thing I can tell you is, email hello@pagelines.com or start a topic on their forum.
Although I think they'll probably recommend moving hosts as well.
I didn't experience any of those issues, other than ?pagelines_special not loading, and I think it's your host timing out, or "giving up" on the request.
If GoDaddy doesn't provide WP support, that would also be a clue that it isnt' the best place for a Wordpress site.

@nphaskins I was never able to load beardwell settings as when I click on where to upload, as you provided that link on info page, it takes me to a white page that says I don't have access to that page.....Also font colors only turned one box font brown...the others remain black....could this be related to whatever pagelines glitch I'm getting?
@nphaskins for now it has to remain GoDaddy.....you mean there's a worst host on the east side of Miss?
@jurnei It looks like you're hosting at GoDaddy? I would strongly recommend a better host. GoDaddy is likely the worst hosting provider that exists this side of the Mississippi.
@jurnei hmm, but that doesn't have anything to do with the theme though. I think your server is timing out with that request for some reason. I hate to forward you on but I would try PageLines support as this is a little out of my area here. :(
@jurnei So I logged into your site, and clicked right on the Beardwell Options page. I don't see any issues? Am I looking in the right spot?

@jurnei When I visit your site I still see a log of plugins active. I also see what should look like Beardwell. I would love to help, but if you don't deactivate things to see what's causing the issue I can't be very much help.

@jurnei FYI, you're also using a plugin that has been discontinued. Jquery Lightbox for Native Galleries is no longer updated and maintained.
@jurnei Looks like you have some plugins active as well, I would start deactivating them one by one until you find the culprit.
@jurnei where is the #cateogory_page coming from? I've never seen that in the pagelines admin url before. Are you saying you cannot access wp-admin?

There isn't anything in the theme that would be causing these issues, it doesn't happen for me locally, it doesn't happen on the demo, and nobody has reported any issues of this nature.
@nphaskins Now can't get pagelines options page to load at all. Never had this problem before with two other pagelines sites.....don't know what to do, I have so many images already loaded and hate to scrap the site entirely. Very frustrated. Seems beardwell and I are not getting along at all.

@nphaskins If I can't get into that page, I don't know where else to start deactivating those sections.
@jurnei Something else is interring and causing issues. I just moved the demo and created a new Beardwell demo and do not have these issues.
@nphaskins That's just it, I was trying to find where to deactivate, but I can't seem to do that with the option page refusing to finish loading. I think the problem may be there and I'm suspect of the "workplace" feature as that specifically doesn't finish loading on that page. Is there another way to deactivate it?
I have been looking at beardwell and ignite and trying to see what would work best for artist/gallery type site. Today beardwell is looking very strange....what happened?
Hi, Just want to tell you it's an awesome theme! I like it very much.
One little thing to note. The Message in your theme welcome panel, there's a typo.

it lost a "d" it should be beardwell-box-deco .
I spend almost one hour to figure it out!
actually the twitter button that is displaying in authors plus isnt working either - the click takes you to a 404 page.

Hey Nick - digging the Beardwell Theme! Got a few minors though:
Can't move the social media icons positioning ( in the header). Trying to do it the usual way - from inside Pagelines settings/Headers and Footers but the numerical changes - to move buttons up or down - are not sticking. Likewise, the social media buttons in Authors Plus won't display even though the links have been entered and the selections are ticked. Twitter button is the only one that will stick.

@msaizan Site looks awesome!!! OK looks like theres some extra styling for the icons
section#featured-branding .icons { position:static; padding-right:5px; margin-top:5px}. I don't think that's coming in from Beardwell, seems to be extra? Can see it here: http://screencast.com/t/KGntXXtbUtSo that position:static is causing those controls not to work for you.
For Author Plus, this theme was recently updated with the fixes for Author Plus. There are now dedicated social links for this section and those bugs were cleared up on the last update.

icon positioning. yep. it's featured branding alright. i fixed it. thanks! Author Plus is still status quo though. I haven't updated PL 2.3 yet - waiting on the dust to settle a bit - do you think the author plus issue could be related to the fact that I haven't updated Frameworks yet?
