Just purchased this and have been really happy with it so far! Very easy to use and simple to set up. Check out some of his other work because he's got top notch Sections for Page Lines. THanks!

Just purchased this and im really happy...
Maybe just ask, can I set the image placed inside. wicker-section. wicker.hide-patt, like fixed to real size "not scalable"?

I may be having a bit of a brain fart, but I cant get the wicker section to go full width across screen.  the wicker section is under the royal slider section on homepage.  johntindel.com

Just purchased this sweet section for Pagelines. How would I go about adding in arrows to navigate between each slide? Thanks.

nphaskins
nphaskins

@PureS ya its' kinda hard because like, I can add it to control Wicker, but it wont be able to work with the Hero option enabled as well because the script cant' sync itself like that. It's one reason I"ve been debating swapping out scripts and rewriting a few things.

So official answer, at some point, will possibly be added.

@nphaskins What can I do in the meantime? Is there another option for me to code this only for my clients site? Thanks,

Hey @nphaskins Was wondering if there is any way to control the wiker heigh using % instead of pixels?

I just purchased and installed Wicker.  Is there anyway to adjust height of the slider?  Would be great if I could adjust it to make it slightly taller.

nphaskins
nphaskins

@newbrew Hi, yes there's an option in the settings to modify the maximum height.

I love the full width Wicker!  The problem I am having is that it only works full width on the IBlogPro5 theme.  I really don't like the set-up of that theme.  I want to keep using the Pagelines Framework or Transparency theme.  Since it works on the IBlogPro5 theme, I don't think any plugins are the problem?  Can you help me use the full width Wicker on Pagelines Framework?

nphaskins

@lorilaws Hi, it was designed to work on PageLines Framework. Your site is using Fixed Width layout mode. You'll need to use Full Width under Layout Editor.

I wonder if there would be a way to connect arrows to scroll through the image slide show?

Feature suggestion: I love this slider. Really do. Love  that it's  full width and that it is so light and simple.  I really like not having to make a bunch of choices  -  some of the sliders out there...i have no idea what all that "stuff" is - they are overboard. Anyhoo, Wicker is so easy to set up - really plug n play - and that's super.   With that being said, i would like to be able to slow the transition down just a tad -  so please consider adding an option in the future to set the timing. Would be great if there were just a few choices like a fade option would be nice....but still like it simple -  Otherwise really wonderful section - thanks so much for the good work you do Nickers.

Hi, I have been advised by pagelines support to purchase this. Just to be sure, after purchasing this, is it possible to have a drop down menu with transition slider effects like on this website http://www.amnuaysilpa.ac.th/   Please advise

nphaskins
nphaskins

@SunitGadhia No Wicker is completely different, doesn't have drop down menus, and doesn't have transition effects like that. Check out the demo link above.

SunitGadhia

@nphaskins @SunitGadhia Thanks. Any suggestions on how I can achieve that with pagelines? A headsup will be helpful

@SunitGadhia  @adambrackbill  @nphaskins  Hey @SunitGadhia  you can have transparent dropdowns.  It's all a matter of css.  You can use the standard nav bar.  Essentially in the drag and drop section, make sure you have branding on top, second is the standard nav, and third is wicker.  Next make sure you have dropdown enabled in your pagelines settings.  You can do css for your dropdown menus to be transparent... or semi transparent.  Not keep in mind design; you need to have an image that works with the menu if you're going to have it transparent.  If you need help with the coding, let me know.

But I'm sure you can have your logo, navigation (with drop downs) and the wicker behind everything.

@adambrackbill  @SunitGadhia  @nphaskins Hi, Thnaks for the update, I am still waiting for a similar solution like you are testing for our website. I did like your new nav bar on the wicker, however i doubt it would have transparent drop downs like my client wants as you mentioned its a harder to work with the new nav bar. Do keep us updated so we can all see your final result. Thanks again

@SunitGadhia  @nphaskins  @SunitGadhia Hey,  I've figured out a way to have brand nav section over top of the wicker.  I'm sure you could do the same with if you just had the branding and standard nav.  Having the new navbar is difficult to work with.  This is just a demo:  http://174.120.172.162/~adminact/

(beware this link may be changed around, it's my testing site).

You want to find "Wicker" in css, margin top that to more than -100 and have the z index -1.

Theoretically this should allow more flexibility with logo on top plus a modified navgation bar.

hello just bought Wicker is Awesome, however my 4 slides are not showing just shows the 1st slide?

nphaskins

@Dostrece I would start disabling plugins. I don't even see the <script> in your sites <head>.

Dostrece
Dostrece

@nphaskins ok yes i was using WP Minify so didnt let the script do its thing

can you tell me the path to the script so i can add it to WP minify's exclude list, thanks

nphaskins
nphaskins

@Dostrece I looked again, and I see it there this time, but some plugin you are using is preventing it from working correctly. I'd start with whatever plugin is turning your text/javascript into text/rocketscript .Cloud Flare?

BernardDahl

Just to be sure; I am looking to get a full-width slider, where I can still define the page width of the other elements on the page (full width slider, with header, content footer all at 980 px, for example)).  This looks like it, just want to make sure.

nphaskins
nphaskins like.author.displayName 1 Like

@BernardDahl Yes you still have full width control of the layout.

BernardDahl

@nphaskins Very cool, exactly what I was looking for. Just completed the purchase, good job, Nick!

I am using this on our site, though our clients will probably ask us to integrate it into the new sites we build for them (also on pagelines). I won't have to buy this plugin every time I add it to a site I develop, will I?

Hey...  I can't get the photos to display on wicker.  http://www.jeremycrittenden.com/testpage

nphaskins

@jcritty Hmm, that's pretty strange. I would start disabling plugins and other sections as one may be the cause of it.

magu

@nphaskins  @jcritty I've also deactivated every plugin I don't absolutely need and it's still not working. Any ideas what to do next? Thanks.

magu

@nphaskins  @jcritty It would be great if we could change the menu font color in each wicker. An idea for the next update...

magu
magu

@nphaskins  @jcritty It works perfectly now without the css code. Thanks for letting us know about it.

nphaskins
nphaskins

@magu  @jcritty Hey guys, I just deployed an update that fixes both (similar issues) across the board. So sorry for the inconvienience! Thanks so much for using my sections and if you have any other questions or concerns please let me know!

nphaskins
nphaskins

 @magu  @jcritty OK so yours is similar, but a bit different. Try #page #wicker .content {background:transparent;}

I'll have to set a bunch of bg colors with my test copy and deal with what comes up then.

nphaskins
nphaskins

@magu  @jcritty Oh, I would put this in the header. You have it in a page right now. that most likely why.

nphaskins
nphaskins

@magu  @jcritty OK check it out I found out why that's happening. Jeremy, looks like you have a background color applied to the page. For some reason this is covering up the section.

Try this:

body #page .page-canvas {background-color: transparent !important;}

Results in

http://screencast.com/t/exjef9Dx8

I'll have to dig in and see why that is even happening.

@nphaskins  @jcritty I've deleted all css less I've wroten my self and it is still not working...

nphaskins
nphaskins

@magu  @jcritty I"m really not sure what to tell you. While on your site, I deleted the compiled css, and it works. So something in your css is causing this not to work.

jcritty
jcritty

@nphaskins Anything you know for sure that conflicts with it?  I've disabled anything that isn't key to my setup and it's still coming up blank.

jcritty
jcritty

@nphaskins I've disabled all of my plugins, and turned off every added section other than wicker, it's still not working.

nphaskins
nphaskins

@jcritty When I go to your site, and I delete everything thats in your <head>, it works. This means that you have a plugin or section that is causing it not to work.
