Decker; a responsive accordion slider.
The dynamic nature of this section is what truly sets it apart from the rest. It’s been built with as much responsive love as one could possibly throw at it, and the result is truly amazing. A versatile section that can be used in a post, or in a sidebar.
Features
Transitions Select from one of over 12 different transitions for the slides.
Layout Control By default the tabs are on the right, but you can easily swap the layout within just one click.
Specify Tabs Display up to 6 tabs, each with their own content.
Slide Options Everything is pretty set from by default, but just incase you want a little extra control you can specify the width of the section, auto-rotate the slides, and even set the transition speed and timeout values.
Slide Links Each slide can have an optional link.
Use Posts Too Show a few posts by ID. Simply toggle the “Use Posts” option, and refresh the page. Then, enter the post ID’s. For example: 53,34,23, will show those posts in that order. Be sure to set the number of posts to show to match how many posts you list.
Tips for Use
Decker can be used in the content area, AND sidebar areas simultaneously. To use in the sidebar, add decker to the sidebar area under drag and drop. Then, clone the section, and delete the first one. In the sidebar, you should then have Decker #2.

Options for changing the color and font for the title boxes

Love your stuff. I'm using Decker. How can I purge the image and accordion information. After installing, I saw the default configuration from the demo, and didn't think a thing of it.
I started loading my own images and accordion information, and wasn't able to see them. I saw one of the 9 images, 3 of the default accordion messages, and none of my own. I've left this to set up to show 1 image and 1 accordion information.
Here are images of my setup:
Just bought; and am trying to use. If I don't do any configuring, it works fine. The second I input anything it stops working. All tabs are open, and it doesn't transition at all. D:
@ChristineGauthier1 Sounds like you have a conflict with something else? You have a link to the site?
@nphaskins anyway, this will work. Thank you! I can ditch the carousel just fine! :)
@nphaskins OK, I turned off the carousel and it works perfect in FF. and funny enough, it KINDA works in Safar, the tabs are very glitchy.
@nphaskins well, it seems to work in Safari, and not in FF.... could my FF version be the culprit?
@ChristineGauthier1 Looks like there's a js issue with the carousel. I would maybe put some items in it or take it away to see if it fixes the issue.
@nphaskins as far as I can see that one isn't working, lol unless I'm having a browser issue?
Nick,
I just bought Decker. Like it, its cool. Problem in chrome on a mac is that the first slide goes all the way to the left and the next always come up 20-30 px short of the left. after a refresh first slide good. any selection after that comes up short of the left? Andy Ideas.

Hi Nick, I want to use this slider in my blog http://www.creatov.nl. But it feels like the slider is watching the width of the browser in stead of the width of the element... Is there a way the tabs are always under the slider? The max width I use in the main section of my blog is 620px (660px with margins). And now only when the browser-width is very small the tabs are flipping under the slider.
See the screenshot of this one in action: http://www.screencast.com/t/sbZGKk1u3B6I
@WouterVanDerToorn There are 2 sets of media queries at a play, one that watches the browser width, and one that watches the container width.
@nphaskins Now I only see the @media responsive rules, which are looking to the browser width, but that is not helpful in my case. How do I change it that it works with a better look at the container width?
@WouterVanDerToorn @media Hi! Yup so there's a standard css media query that watches browser width, and there's also a piece of javascript that watches container width. It's container.js, which senses when it's used in the sidebar or smaller area and will switch accordingly.
Would it be better to have
@plBaseFont
for the font-family, so it automatically matches the theme
rather than Verdana?
@Paul_T @plBaseFont Yup it's supposed to be like that, small bug I can get that fixed with an update.
Great job! Wondering if you plan on having support for short code in the content box. As an example I wanted to use: [pl_raw][pl_badge type="success"]More Info[/pl_badge][/pl_raw]
That would rock my world, thanks!
@michaelmiles Sure, I just pushed an update to accommodate your request. You don't need the pl_raw shortcode if you're using something like the badge though.
@nphaskins Works awesome, thanks! Best 15 bucks I've spent on this project!
is there any documentation/instruction for this? i just purchased it and implemented it but it doesn't seem to be working, no CSS, nothing.
@adamwotherspoon Make sure you save the framework settings to recompile the LESS. Options for the section can be found under Page Options-->Decker, or on the page that you're using it on.
@nphaskins i don't have a Page Options setting anywhere. The only place where I can adjust settings for Decker is under the Meta section in the Pagelines tab. But there is nothing to "save the framework settings to recompile the LESS".
@adamwotherspoon Just save the framework with the big blue button that says Save Options. Yes, a random save. I know it's weird but thats how the framework recompiles the LESS.
@nphaskins yup i can get to that. but i dont see anywhere to do what you are saying when you say "save the framework settings to recompile the LESS"
@adamwotherspoon Sure there is. See this screenshot. http://screencast.com/t/hkdvKdzmEb
hello. After fixing this bug with overlaping menu on Decker there is still something wrong with menu. It's acting still strangely just skipping and disappearing... you can see it on www.skimagazyn.pl - decker is on main page but not on subpages and there is everything ok with the menu (native pg menu). And more - I love this section but using it should be mush simpler as well a reordering slides etc... try to do something with that :)
@butcherhomepl ya it's definitely not acting right. Seems to me like a js conflict with another plugin. I'd start deactivating plugins and sections until you found the one causing the issue.
But on any sub pages (no Decker) everything is ok - so I have an obvious thought that it could be a conflict with Decker... what do you think ?
@butcherhomepl Also, to give the benefit of doubt, I tested here locally with Decker on Slideshow mode, together with the NavBar, and I am unable to reproduce the errors that you are getting, which leads me to believe that another plugin is the culprit.
@butcherhomepl I wouldn't even begin to know, how to fix something that I can't replicate, when I have no idea what's causing the issue. You're obviously using an out of date plugin, or a plugin who's code is not written in the best way possible.
I would start deactivating other plugins to see what's causing the conflict.
For some reason the plugin loads weird at first (as if all the components are stacked on top of each other). My site is www.danoah.com. They don't load properly until after the ads load.
Also the css seems to be gone with the Pagelines upgrade. I've tried your solution of clicking the save button but it doesn't help.
I should mention that I temporarily put custom css in to make the backgrounds of the divs white. They suddenly were all showing up black. Also, for reference, it's in the sidebar on my blog.
What is the css for changing the hover color on the boxes? worldwidebbq.com I want the hover color to be black instead of white
Hi Nick, Once thing I have noticed, is initially the drop down menu sits beautifully in front of the decker, but after a period of time it drops behind the decker and you can't see the menu unless you re fresh the page. Is there a change it could stay in from all the time? Example here http://mywayglassengraving.com/ Thanks Lynsey
@Lynsey_Progress A fix will come out shortly to address overlap with the menu. In the mean time, you can use this in Custom CSS
.decker-accordion {z-index:10 !important;)
Nick
@nphaskins @Lynsey_Progress Hi Nick, I tried this but once added it gave me a Parse Error and would not work.
@Lynsey_Progress Glad to hear it. I've pushed out an update with that fix included so feel free to update whenever you'd like.
@nphaskins looks like you have struck gold, is staying on top perfect. Loving this decker.
@Lynsey_Progress Ok let's try something else. Take away what you previously added. So take away the .decker-accordion{z-index: 10 !important}, and instead, apply .decker{z-index:0;} . I played with this on your site and seems to do the trick. Let me know how you go about and I'll patch this up in the next update.
@nphaskins That that didn't get the error, but still after a few minutes the drop down menu slips behind the decker images.
@Lynsey_Progress Oh snap, sorry that last parenthesis should be a bracket. lol
.decker-accordion {z-index:10 !important;}
