Accordions is a Pagelines Section that makes it super easy to create Accordion Sets (group by category) and display them on your website. Use Accordions for your website FAQs page or break apart long text blocks into individual accordions and show as a set.

Features

No shortcodes or coding necessary Each accordion is a separate post that is assigned to an accordion set (or sets). Add the section to your Page Template and choose the accordion set to display.

Multiple accordion sets Accordions is a clonable section meaning you can have more than one accordion set on your page with it’s own options.

Reorder accordions Use the Post Type Order plugin to reorder accordions to display in the order you want. Or used the built in option to display by accordion date, title, id, last modified or random.

Add some color to your accordions Control the background color of the accordion headings and body and the text colors for each accordion set on your page.

Collapsed or Keep Open By default the previous accordion will collapse when you open the next accordion in a set. There is an option to keep previous accordion open when opening a new accordion in a set.

First accordion open on page load Option to have first accordion in a set open on page load.

Open/Close toggle Option to have a caret icon designate open/close status of an accordion.

Scroll option for longer accordions If your accordions are long there is an option to scroll to the top of the accordion for better readability.

Support PageLines Development A majority of funds from Store purchases go to the developer of the extension.
Note PageLines Framework version 2 or better is required to use this extension.

Hi,

is there a way to show a web page within a individual accordion window, e.g. let's say I want to show CNN's front page as one accordion panel and BBC on the other... please advice how to do it

@tttaaa Each individual accordion is a separate post so whatever you can put into that post will show, images, shortcodes, iframes. So, if the content you want to pull in has a shortcode or iframe(embed) code it should work. 

As far as I know you can't embed a page from your website unless you can do it with an iframe or shortcode.

Can I use this plugin on any theme and Can I add accordion section on pages.

@GovindjiPatel The Accordions Section works just with Pagelines and Pagelines child themes, not all WordPress themes.

It works like other Pagelines Sections where it it dragged onto into a template so if you use that template for your page then the Accordions will show up on that page.

@marijnacht Accordions creates a custom post type to put accordion content inside of.  It works like Boxes and Banners.  You create Accordions and categorize them into Accordion Sets to display in the section.

Is it possible to setup different accordions for use in multiple boxes on a page?

 @jbcooper If you mean the boxes section, no you cannot put  the Accordions Section within the Boxes - use the accordion shortcode (BA Shortcodes and Pagelines Shortcodes plugins both have that shortcode).

 

If you mean to have multiple groups of accordions on the page, yes, you can clone the section and have multiple sets like on the Demo page, http://pagelines.ellenjanemoore.com/accordions/.

HI,  Sorry,  me again, I am having problems with when they open it jumps rather that slides, but slides closed?  here is the link,  I would really be grateful for your help? I am probably missing something simple! I have tried removing some of the plugins to see if its a conflict of script?  but..  Thanks Linkhttp://www.shilton-barnaclepc.org.uk/

 @PSGD It looks like there is a problem with the jQuery and the Carousel. Take out the carousel and it should work.

 

The jQuery error seems to be because there aren't enough posts for the carousel.  Once the carousel has enough items the error goes away.  I'm going to do a few test and see if this is a general bug or something that happens only with accordions.  

 

I just wanted to get back to you as soon as possible to let you know what the problems are.  I'll respond here but any other questions now that you have Accordions is to ask them through the Support forum for Store Products.

 @PSGD  I submitted a bug report. For now, if you create some extra items for your testing, the bug will go away and Accordions will work properly.

Hi, Sorry to bother you.  I just purchased this though PageLines only I can't find the link to tell me how to install it?  I logged into my account through Wordpress  but it does not appear in my plugins section?  Could you please send me the link?  Many Thanks

 @PSGD Not a bother.  In your WordPress Install go to Pagelines --> Store --> Sections --> Top Premium and then scroll down to Accordions.  Click on install and it will install the section.

 

Then in Pagelines --> Drag & Drop bring the section into the template you want to use it in.  There are then instructions on the Demo site on how to use, http://pagelines.ellenjanemoore.com/accordions/.
