Turn your background or any block level div into an image fader
Note PageLines Framework version 2 or better is required to use this extension.
Exceptional, but needs a few more options...
This is one of the reasons why Pagelines is such an awesome platform. It was super simple to setup, FREE, and really enhances the site. I used it on one of our client website and it came out really well.
One thing I would suggest adding would be the ability to control if the background gets supersized on a photo-by-photo basis or just a global basis. I created all our backgrounds in photoshop and made them 2000px wide but still it stretches them so that they get pixelated.
Another feature that would go a long way would be the ability to set background attachment: fixed vs scroll.
But all in all, a great plugin... especially free!!
Thank you Adam!
great plugin. I am using a site called screenfly: http://quirktools.com/screenfly/ to test http://hfsir.com. The background image is fine until its on a screen above 19 inches (1440x900). I dont mind the image being slightly pixelated at that size, but the top of the image seems to be cut off. It looks perfect on a 12 inch netbook. what is the best way to change that? Any suggestions?
I am a fan of your plugin and it's really cool!
However, i would like to ask how can i just use it on the cover page of my website? Coz i want a different background for inside my different posts, but it seems once you activate superfade, you can't assign a different background to a post.
@HughesLau Currently the plugin just works globally. My hope is to release a premium version that will allow different images for different pages.
Got a little bug for ya here, if you install the plugin, but don't add any images to it, it still tryes to run the thing, and that causes some issues... So when no images have been selected, make it not run :P
@ErikHjertberg It should only run if images are present in the current version, but if you still have problems with no images in there then just deactivate it :) You shouldn't have active plugins that aren't use anyway.
Is there a demo we can check out? I'd like to see what this looks like before investing time and resources.
Hi, I would like to use the superfade in my header section what ID # do I use instead of the default (#site)???
@Gayatriom are you a plus member? if so, it's free - in that case all you have to do is download the plugin and you're good to go.
I actually spent weeks and weeks. Haha. And finally did it manually. Would love to see a demo of this.
Too uncanny! I spent all week-end looking for exactly something like this plugin. I wanted full width, ten image option, and the ability to control timing and transition. So happy! Thanks Adam.
