Salebar

The Salebar plugin makes it super easy to promote important information and direct your site visitors.

Video Walk Through

For example, if you are having a sale or other promotion, this bar makes it nearly impossible to miss. Users can also toggle the viewing of the bar globally and their choice is stored so that it won’t annoy them if they choose to close it.

The Salebar comes with 5 different color schemes and over 5 button colors; which means you’ll have over 25 options for colors right off the bat.

Finally, setting up Salebar is super simple.
1. Simply install it as a PageLines/WordPress plugin, and
2. Set the options in the main PageLines settings panel (under Salebar)
3. Activate it (using the option) when you’d like it shown.

If I x out , I can see the arrow to pull down, but in chrome, it's not clickable, anyone else having this problem?

Also, would rock if it worked with fontawesome native w/o shortcodes.

@MTrewe i've just tested on chrome and i'm able to open/close with no problems. If this doesn't resolve and you need help with it, drop a thread on the store support forum.

Currently it seems that the salesbar breaks the dropdown menu's in safari iOS. Can anyone replicate that?

Looks like this breaks PageLines in Safari.....I have a feature on the home page of a site with multiple fading images....with SaleBar turned on it stacks the feature images on top of each other when viewed through Safari.

@afewgoodpeople that sounds like a Javascript error. Can you post on the forum so we can isolate if its a bug or something else?

Would be nice if the sale bar would have a lifespan (set and forget).

Almost, but not quite......would work better if it allowed multiple lines of text and embedded images etc.

@afewgoodpeople great ideas...I'm sure the folks at PageLines will take them into consideration.

Keep in mind the UX is designed to keep the message very focused without taking up prime "above the fold" real estate.

With that being said here is a solution for you: If you have a lot of content you could load it into a modal window.  Read more about the Modal shortcode here: http://demo.pagelines.me/tools/ .  This would allow you to easily display the content you need with out having to take the visitor to another page.

Very good Plugin – thanks a lot!

Two things, that makes "Salebar" perfect:

- the url, i was linking to, do not need the Salebar itself. An Option to block the Salebar for the destination-url can be useful.

- For some reason, a checkbox in the PageLines admin-panel to decide, that the Salebar is shown or not ( only the arrow ), can be helpful.

Sorry for my terrible english. i hope, you understand enough to answer! :- )

@kroeativitaet Thanks! Good insights..  Especially the on for hiding on pages. Just patched to version 1.0.4 and pushed it live with your new feature. Cheers =)

@kroeativitaet Hi there, yes currently the sales bar doesn't have the option to be switched off on a per page basis, we'll pass this over to the core team though as a suggestion for future updates.
