The purpose of our site is to communicate to the alumnae of Mount Holyoke College, an all female liberal arts institution founded in 1837 in western Massachusetts. We wanted a modern mobile friendly site, that was easy to maintain and customize. We use it to publish articles from our quarterly magazine, post events and news and provide resources for our class, club and committee volunteers. To better organize our content and cater to our different audience segments, we used the multisite feature built into WordPress and created two sub-sites in addition to the main site. One is for volunteers and the other is for our largest and most important annual reunion event which spans two weekends in May.
I’ve enjoyed using PageLines. The page layout flexibility offers a lot of freedom. It has saved a lot of time. The page template and sections system is very powerful. The inclusion of Twitter BootStrap and FontAwesome have been very handy tools.
