Default box bug

My front page displays my latest posts, not a static page. As such, it uses the default template settings, which uses boxes. I have changed the default box settings to display 4 boxes, but although the spacing changes to allow for a fourth box, the box does not display. I have doubled checked that I have 4 boxes in the correct category - still no joy. 

I have changed the setting at /wp-admin/admin.php?page=pagelines_special ... and it recognizes the setting by adjusting the spacing between the boxes ... but won't display more than 3 boxes.

In further tests I have changed the sort order to make sure that all 4 boxes are valid. In this way I could get it to display the one missing box ... but at the expense of another box disappearing.
