2 Problems. Blog posts under feature option and how to remove this bar?

First problem:

I copied the latest code from jnoh and replaced it where needed.

For some reason my main blog does not have the feature page? I still have to create a new tab and opening that tab, the feature page works with my blogs posted below. How can I enable this to be on my main (Home) blog and not have to click on a tab?

Second problem:

How can I remove this tab below the feature window?



I wanna keep the feature window but remove the bar below.
