Hello - We built our site offline using MAMP and are now ready to transfer to the server. The format and many photos are missing. Could it perhaps be a problem with the CSS?
Would you happen to know what we are doing wrong?
Using Platform Pro btw.
Thanks in advance for help/suggestions!
Nicole

Hi Nicole,
Let's start with the images: When you made the transfer, did you just transfer the theme files? Or, did you transfer the entire wp-content folder?

Hi Kate,
Everything was transfered, including wp-content. We typically work off of MAMP and then transfer with no problems. It's a first for us...

Kate, did you also import the database to your live installation? If so did you change the two fields in the database that list the url of the site?
Also, try saving the pagelines settings to see if they regenerate.

Steps we performed:
dump database, then search and replace all local urls with live urls and load to production database.
tar the entire local wp-installation and untar at production. made necessary changes to wp-config.php
With other themes this was all we had to do. But did not work with this theme. Seems like dynamic css values are not getting set correctly. We also tried exporting the settings and importing them to the production site. Which fixed a lot of look and feel and of course we had broken images due to references to local urls. We opened the .dat file with netbeans, edited the urls, saved and re-imported it but did not work either.
This theme is a great tool but there has to be an easy way to migrate from local dev to production. Is there any documentation out there that we can follow? Are we missing any steps?
Thanks...

Im afraid without a URL to look at we have not got a lot to go on. You could always email one of us your address if you want to keep it off the forum. My address is simon@pagelines.com
