I would like to have each post on my site have a full width image at the top of the post and text below. How do I accomplish this?
The site is going to be for a photography company and I would like to feature images.
Thanks!

You're talking about blog posts, correct?
Is your default post page full width? If so you can just insert an image at the top of your post with the appropriate width of your content area, try about 950 wide if you're on full width and about 640 if you're using a sidebar.

Yep, blog posts. I am going into the post areea, creating a new post, then placing a full width image in there. On my homepage, it only shows the text or a featured image thumbnail on the left of the text.
Thanks for the reply! Any other suggestions?

Could you please provide a link to your site? Which page template are you using for your home page?

John, I checked your site. on your home page? Were any adjustments made that might've led to this?

Yep, I changed the thumbnail size in the wordpress options. It just pushed everything further to the right and used a thumbnail size featured image...grrr. I'm getting frustrated now. I just want to post full width pictures on my homepage in posts with post text beneath the pic. I'm still trying to change some settings, but my knowledge base is stretched ot the limit...
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

UPDATE:
I figured out the image size thing. I made the featured image the size I wanted (950px).
However, the post text is still getting shoved to the right. I would like it to appear below the featured image.
Any ideas?

UPDATE:
Solved. The featured image was not the problem. I had selected to use excerpts on the post page (homepage) and that was causing it not to post the media, just text. When I added the featured image, it was preconfigured to act as a thumbnail, changing the size only made it a BIG thumbnail.
Anyway, if you are having the same problem and read this, go to the PlatformPro Theme Options> Blog and Posts> Post Excerpt or Summary Handling. Now DESELECT the checkbox for "Posts/Blog Page", which, in this case, is the homepage. Viola! Now you have full size media on your homepage.
Peace,
J
