I am trying to get rid of the subnav, and move all pagenavigation (not top level) to the sidebar. Can this be done by configuring, or do i need to edit the _grandchildnav_pro.php file to do this?

Hide the subnavigation in the 'StationPro Option > Header and Nav' panel. Install and use this widget for the sidebar nav widget.

Is it possible to display only the child-pages of a particular page?
Yes. In order to achieve this, select the 'Include' option, select just the child-pages to be listed (leave out all other pages), enable the 'Show subpages' option and select 'Show all sub-pages'.

This is taken from the plugin faq. Just follow these instructions to set only childpages to appear.
