I am wanting to change the background of the content box to transparent and then on top of that wondering if it is possible to do multi-layered background images so I can add a gradient to the background and then a image for the content background that fades gradually as it goes to the bottom of the page? not sure how this would be done if at all possible. The website is fixed width, thanks

Why would you need multi layered images to create a gradient? Yes you can have a transparent content box, but I either don't understand your intention or this is an easier way for you to do this
