Wondering if anyone has effectively used the rel="me" tag to link together their blog, facebook, linkedin profile etc. Googling the subject actually only helped a little bit -- any advice? All the best, Jason

This looks like something we'll have to add to our future theme releases. After reading a bit on the rel="me", here's what I understand of it. The rel="me" attribute allows you to "glue" your different sites/profiles up together so that it will boost each of those up together in search engines. How you practically implement this is to add the rel="me" attribute to all the link tags that lead to your different profile pages. (referenced: http://www.webmonkey...on_the_Open_Web)

Yes -- I think all you literally do is at rel="me inside of a link directly to your "About" page or bio from within you blog itself. What I'm not clear on is the point you make above about leading "to" different profile pages or "from" them. I think it may actually be the latter -- essentially, that whenever you point to that same About You page (say, from LinkedIn or Twitter linking to your blog) you add rel="me" again, which creates some kind of circular loop the search engines recognize. I'm not sure if it works as well though if they don't link back to each other (though it may still give relative ranking of the rel="me" page above the page where you placed the link to it).

Thx! I ended up adding it to a few links within my own blogs. Trying to add them into my social sites now whenever I link to my blog.
