I have just downloaded the new platform pro update (v. 1.1.1) and am having trouble uploading it to wordpress. As suggested in the readme doc, I changed the zip file's name to platformpronew, but when attempting to upload I get this message:
Unpacking the package??¦
Installing the theme??¦
Destination folder already exists. /home/content/39/6873539/html/wp-content/themes/platformpro/
Theme install failed.
Help?

It's because the main folder that you are uploading has the same name. When you unzip platformpronew does it retain the name?

That did it. The older versions are still visible in my available themes. Can I delete the older versions, or should they be kept for back up purposes?

I wouldn't delete your old theme folders just in case you need them, just rename them.
