wp2.9 will be out... looks like next week perhaps. Can you offer native 2.9 thumbnail support? It requires themes to be aware of it. http://www.wpbeginne...-wordpress-2-9/ I for one have had mixed success with the perpetual-beta wp-thumbnail plugin. -d

Yes, the latest versions of the themes already support this...

(I know its a hassle but we will finally have a better process for this(updating) in January)

Updated to 2.9 and added a thumbnail picture to a post... but what do I have to do to dispay it, the theme does not seem to be "aware"? Don't understand the thumbnail support under WP 2.9 at all...

The themes are all ready to support the new thumbnail feature; but WP changed function names on us at the last minute so we need to make a quick fix (the_post_image was changed to the_post_thumbnail)

I updated and the old way to create the thumbnail on a post still works. Still had to patch to remove the bottom_sidebar from the forum and the landingpage. Other than that all is fine in 2.9 ;-)

I also upgraded to WP 2.9 and thumbnail doesn't work. I shot an email in but is there another way to receive notifications of updates to the template?

I think they are working on that... I desperately hope this is coming soon!

Yes, the themes are still backwards compatible with the custom field way of adding thumbs.

And yes, we are working on hosting the themes on our server which makes it much easier to update users (E-Junkie does a really poor job of this)

yes, its working now and it was working (the thumbnails) with the beta before they pulled the switcharoo on us.

Thx again for the help. I've been able to upgrade to 2.1.1 and see where I can set the thumbnail. It's quite simple. But I have a couple of questions! Can the image be resized back to the 200x200 size? It seems that the thumbnails are smaller now. Also, now with your thumbnail "plugin" if you will, is there any need to resize the image or use the feature that just came out in WP 2.9? And lastly, is there a way to keep the Excerpts from wrapping too early? I'd like to see the txt fill the entire area where the thumbnail is located. Thank you for all you do! Merry Christmas!

Ya just set the thumbnail size under 'settings' > 'media" Everything else should work the same including the excerpts

Hmmmm... I've set the "settings" "media" to 200x200... but the images are still showing up as 150x150... and my first thumb is only being set to 200x157?

What is the "path to least resistance" to get the latest updates to iBlogPro for future updates? I have 3.6.0 and I supposedly need 3.6.2 for the Thumbs function to work in 2.9. Thanks Andrew!
