Hi, 

 

I'm wondering a couple of thing.

 

1) I choose a standard layout with two sidebars (SB1 and SB2). In Website setup I have chosen for Hide Sidebars When Empty (no widgets)  . In drag and drop I see the section in SB1 is Primary Sidebar, in SB2 the section is Secondairy Sidebar. In secondary sidebar there are NO widgets. Why do I get on my website:

 

Add Widgets (Secondary Sidebar)

This is your Secondary Sidebar but it needs some widgets!
Easy! Just add some content to it in your

I expect this not to be visible because I have chosen to hide the sidebar when no widgets.

 

2) In the situation I have only one sidebar (SB1) on the left (section primary sidebar) an at the top of content I have section universal sidebar. I would like to achieve that on special pages the size of the left sidebar is smaller, it should show other widgets (so probably needs on other section?), and also above the content needs other widgets. How can I achieve this?

Hi 0899 

 

1) this is only visible to you as you are logged in as admin. Visitors to you site will not see this. 

 

2) You can edit the dimensions of the layout in the site options > layout editor and then use this layout type for your special page types ijn the Page Options.

Hi,  I'm going to ask the question different because it's not working for me.

 

My layout for my entire website is one sidebar at the left and right from that the content.

On one page I would like this sidebar have an other 'width' and shows also different widgets (smaller ads).

 

Is that possible?

 

PS When I choose a different layout for one specific page and I would like it to be same as website again, how can I put i back to the normal setting?

On the page with highscores I want to get rid of this sidebar and show a smaller one with different ads.

You can control the layout of individual pages/posts by using the PageLines Meta Settings for that page/post.

If you wish to display different widgets on a per page/post basis, I recommend you have a look at the plugin Widget Logic.

For the layout of individual pages/posts > I think this is not working for me, because it still is 'sidebar left' on this page where I want the 'sidebar left' to be smaller.

I don't see an option at the meta settings for that page to overide the width for this sidebar? Am I right?

Unfortunately, you're unable to change the width of the Sidebars/Content area on a per page/post basis. In order to do this, you will need to use custom CSS and use the .page-id-x class.

That worked perfectly, together widt Widget Logic (I chose Widget Conext).
