I want my widgets to each have a different look and feel.
I have managed to change the background, text and border colors of all my widgets
as a group. But as soon as I am trying to customize them individually it won't work.

HI,
All Widgets are given either a unique ID or class, which can be used to style your widgets individually. All you need to do is use Firebug or your browsers built-in web dev tools and inspect each widget element to find the correct class or ID.
I have provided you with a link to our Custom CSS documentation, which at the bottom has a step by step guide on how to target a specific element and customise it using Google Chromes web dev tools. -
