Hi

I am trying to figure out how to have my

1.navigation menu go across my entire website &

2. have the menu items centered & spaced out evenly across the content area.

 

I have firebug etc. & have attempted to figure out what to do but can't

I am very new to pagelines, css etc. &  need very simple directions- sorry & thanks!

That worked for spacing the menu items out across the content area! - big help

but not to have the menu extend across the full width of page? & still have the items stay where they are

Do you have Firebug for Firefox or know Chrome's built-in Inspection Tool? These will help you identify the CSS code for each element and test results.

I do have Firebug which I try to use & sometimes am successful with but I find it difficult to pin down exactly where I need to make the changes - I will check out Chrome's built -in inspection tool

 

I tried your suggestion & it worked like a charm but now I have a long mysterious white line under the menu items -I don't know where it came from or how to get rid of it??

That code did not add the border. It was there all along.

 

Try to find this code:

Then add this to it:

   border-bottom: medium none;

right after the ; on the next line, before the closing curly bracket.
