Hi all, my client just contacted me and told me that the drop down menu on the site stopped working. I reviewed the site and it no longer works. The site has been running great for about two years no issues. Now the menus stop working. Does anyone know why this is happing or how to fix the issue.

Hi,

 

First let's go to Dashboard > PageLines > Site Options > Header and Footer and see if Enable Drop Down Navigation? is checked.  If it is, let's proceed to the next option.

 

Visit Dashboard > Appearance > Menus.  Make sure your menu is set under Theme Locations.  If it isn't, make sure the correct menu is set there. If you don't have a saved menu, I'd recommend creating one, and applying it to the Theme Locations for your Primary menu.

The problem is a javascript error.
Its probably caused by a plugin.
Make sure they are all up to date, and if so deactivate one at a time to find the offender.

For what it's worth, I had this same problem, and it turned out to be the JavaScript to Footer plugin, which is too bad, because that plugin made my site really speedy
