This happens rather often. I'm using Safari, so not sure if it happens in other browsers. If I hit refresh, it fixes the problem. Attached is a screenshot:
The site is www.leportschools.com and it can happen on any page/post.

There may be a conflict with some javascript. I suspect it's a googlemap plugin that may be outdated or incorrectly coded for the current WP version.
Check your plugins. Deactivate anything like that and see if it works.
