Hi - I'm trying to create navigation where a "page" is listed in the navigation, but not be clickable? Is there a way to do that?

 

I'm sure there's a way to do that, but I couldn't find it mentioned in either the Pagelines or WP forums. Except for a defunct widget.

Hi Erin,

 

Presuming you have created a specific menu...

 

When you go to Dashboard > Appearance > Menus, go to Custom Links.  In the URL field, add a pound-sign ( # ) and the title of the page in the Label field. 

 

Save the custom link and then place it in the order you want it on your menu.  Save the menu.

 

A menu item will now appear with no link.

I haven't created a specific menu. I take it I should do that?

That's always best.  You simply create a name, usually Primary in the top of Dashboard > Appearance > Menus.   Save the menu title.

 

Then just start creating menu items.

 

When done, save the menu, then go to the Theme Locations and select the menu you created and named from the drop down list under Primary Menu.  Save the Theme Location.  You will now see this menu on the navigation of your site.
