I guess the CSS I had did what I wanted it to do and just needed a day or two for all the caches to line up...
So this is what I've got that works:
/* Current and Hover menu area as white background */
#page .readernav span.readerselected,
#page .readernav span:hover {
background: #ffffff;
}
/* Remove bullet point from the question */
#page ul#answerlist li.readeranswer { display:block;
list-style-type: none !important;
}
/* Indent any bullets used within the answer */
#page .fanswer li {
margin-left:25px;
}
Thanks.

Hi Cliff,
As you've doubtlessly heard, we're not allowed to provide the CSS for you, however, I had a good tough time finding the solution. So let me at least point you in the right direction.
Using Firebug I found:
To that, I added:
list-style-image: none;
When I did that, the bullet points vanished.
Do you mean the font color or background?
Not at all sure of an answer for 3. Can you screenshot what you want changed?
