Hi.

 

Basically, Im trying to create a four column layout that is simiar to what Iv got on ma site at the mo (

), but Id rather not use the footer column sidebar to do this, Id rather  do this in the more foot section.

 

Id like to fully customize that area with a mix of text, page menus and widget. What would be the best way to do this?

What I would do is use a text widget and use the PageLines grid to create your four columns. Unfortunately, you will not be able to use widgets as its not a widgetized area.
