I think it would be nice if for magazine mode (or even blog mode) that there was a story canvas/slider that looks like the one in this theme: http://themewich.com...theme=ExtraNews(News)

 

I've been looking for something like that to use with my site but haven't been able to find it. Right now I'm using pagelines framework slider but I'd switch to the above right away if possible. Another idea would be to allow category/tag picture options configurable within framework.

Good idea, I'll pass it over to the developer team so they can have a look, maybe one of them will look into it a bit further :-)

 

We don't have anything exactly like that at the moment, but there is a new slider that works for showing posts in a more stylized way, the format isn't like your example though. Just in case that could help you at all - http://www.pagelines...ections/porter/

Cool, I'd pay up to $20+ for a fully functional post container like the one I linked in my original post. That sort of container is what most modern review sites are using and is the one thing I sorely miss with Pagelines.

No worries, I passed that on for you the other night so it can be reviewed.
