Hi,
I've just added a new page to my website and assigned template 2 to it. I've added som content (texy and an image) to the content area but nothing is showing in that area when I test the page in a browser. Why is that? Am I missing something? See image for clarification.

Did you check the Content Area > Template 2 area in Drag & Drop to make sure that the PostLoop section is activated in it?
