hey guys,

 

how can i decrease the huge space between blog posts in magazine layout mode ?

tried using firebug on this one - but didn't help

In custom css you'll need to decrease the padding and margins for the blog posts (and use the selector you find in Firebug in that CSS). For reference to these CSS properties, please see:

thats what i already did..."tried using firebug on this one - but didn't help"

here is the code i used:

 

 

.one-sidebar-right #column-main .mcolumn-pad, .two-sidebar-right #column-main .mcolumn-pad {

    padding: 0;

}

 

.hentry .hentry-pad {

    padding: 0;

}

 

any idea whats wrong with it?

Hi there, the .hentry code you've added is correct, try making it more specific by adding the class for the postloop in front.

unfortunately it did not kill the whole padding. still something left.

do you know if it is possible to kill the rest as well?

If depends how much you want to remove, theres also padding inside the clip box fix and inside the actual paragraph text inside the box that you could remove.
