Hi there,

 

When I go to the store from the pagelines dashboard, I see several available upgrades for sections, plugins, themes I have installed. If I click on any of them the ftp login page appears, I enter my password, and get a fatal error (Fatal error! Der Zielordner existiert bereits ... (german for: the destination directory is already in existence).

/ etc. I then tried with changed permissions on these folders (up to 777) but to no avail. I still get the fatal error. What to do?

Can you please delete the pagelines-bbpress folder via FTP and try re-installing again?

The upgrader will not work on your host.

Go to your members area and download the zips then extract and upload via ftp

Where is the members area? Sorry, I don't know anything called like that.

Thanks Simon, but following your link I can only download the whole framework, not the sections, plugins or themes from the store.

And why will the updater not work on my host? The updating process for anything else wordpress is working smoothly from the dashboard.

Free stuff is available here, purchased items will be in your members area.

 

We tested upgrades installs on the top 10 hosts, dedicated servers and local and made sure it worked on all, but every host is different and the cheaper you go the more restrictive their file permissions and php functions available to cut down support costs and keep it as cheap as possible.

My host is not cheap at all and I can do a lot about permissions and php functions, but I need to know what to tweak, and that information, I think, I should get from Pagelines where I bought my product.
