Hi

 

A little bit lost here.

 

I want to create a list of villas (much like on this page

) on a page, and link each item to the page that tells more about the house. I want to display a photo, a text and a map (in that order).

 

I can't get a hang of using grids, so I want to try something already inside the Pagelines platform. Could you recommend what to use and how to get it to work (without a lot of shortcodes etc)? Do I use boxes, posts, contenst area??? I have tried to read docs, watched tutorials, searched the web...but as I wrote: I'm lost.

HI Carl,

 

The simplest way in my opinion would be to use HTML code, using the PageLines grid would be best. However, you can also use Boxes and have them display one box per row. The choice is entirely up to you, but either way you're going to need to use HTML.

 

I would choose the PageLines grid!

Thanks for reply. Tried with boxes and one per row, and I guess I will settle with that. Do you know if there is a plugin to hide the heading of a box when published?

There isn't a plugin, but there is a way to hide the box title with custom CSS. Please see the following:

I have tried to use this custom CSS:

 

.fboxtitle{display:none;}

 

in the pagelines customize plugin, but it doesn't work for me....title still there.

 

I actually want to apply display:none as a rule to all my boxes. Any thoughts?

The code is correct for the title. You can trying forcing it if you're having problems using !important

 

If you have a caching plugin or anything that could be masking the changes you're making please disable it and dump the cache prior to refreshing the page to test.

Found out that I had CSS coding that interfered with eachother:

 

/*Changing the distance between content and header/footer*/
#pagelines_content {
    margin-top: 1px;
    margin-bottom: 10px

 

But why is this a conflict?

Glad it worked Carl, in the custom code box any broken css will stop anything below it from working.
