need to set padding for <p> content in box - woildl ike to use css

I can change the color - the font size ( em) and much more but when I go

to add some left padding so that my font wont bump up to the left edge... it bumps over all the boxes in the row

seems that it is sizing the indiivusla box ( in this case: 6 2span boxes under 3 4 span boxes nested in a 12 span box.

 

Any help or experiecne would be super! thanks

If you're trying to pad paragraphs specifically, I imagine the best way would be to create a unique class for it.  So, you re-write the tag as <p class="left-spaced">,

 

Then, in your CSS, you'd do something like:

Ok Im back - very happy !! - that it worked .. but ... very quickly aware that adding padding this way will be a long task

can I pad this on a larger scale?  i know my " page id"  and read some help forum pages that were just outside of my full understanding because

I do have the page number thanks to that. can I use

 that to make the chages on a large

r scale? thanks

Doing a page ID is kind of pointless, because it's still tons of work.

 

The solution is to use the left-spaced class in any paragraph where you want it.

 

Then, in the CSS solution I guessed at, just remove the .span.am part.  Then, sitewide, any time you apply the left-spaced class, that paragraph will have the same padding as the CSS prescribes.

 

Just remember to use the class.
