I'm working with the WPML plugin people to do some adjustments on my site. They wanted me to ask this question:

 

Which hook would be most appropriate to use for manipulating the output of your blog posts on the front page?

 

Basically, I need to change the way posts are display based on language...

I'm not sure what you specifically need to do, but the best tool to find the specific hooks you need is Action Map, available free in Dashboard > PageLines > Store.   Action Map shows you just which hooks are used in specific areas of the site.

 

We also offer a new product called "Hooker" which can be used to safely implement changes to hooks, very easily.
