Can you alter the speed of the automatic transitions? The admin panel sets it to 7 seconds. Can it be made faster or slower?

 

Also, can we style the text -- different font sizes, etc.

The Quickslider doesn't have any transition speed options in settings.  I believe it may be done using CSS, but I'm not sure, personally, how.   Nonetheless, if you search this forum, you may find the answer. 

 

The Feature Slider (different from the QuickSlider) has a speed option in settings and also allows you to change fonts using CSS. 

 

Additionally, we have other specialized sliders available via our Store.

The Features slider did the trick. But how do you change the CSS? I looked around using Firebug, but still can't seem to find it.  Fo example, to the change the size, I found this code:

 

#feature_slider .fcontent .ftitle {

  font-size: 28px;

font-family:georgia, sans serif;

    line-height: 1.3em;

    vertical-align: middle;}

When I chnge the font size in firebug, the font changes on the page, but not when I drop it into Custom CSS. Also, I can't find a way to change the font family.  I tried

.thead, h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, .site-title {

    font-family: "Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;

    font-weight: bold;}

but that didn't work.

You can try with

 

#feature_slider .fcontent .ftitle {

    font-size: 28px;

    line-height: 1.3em;

    vertical-align: middle;}

 

You change #px, #em and middle, as you like.
