How can I distribute the three boxes on the home page evenly the length on the kenburner slider?

They actually already are distributed evenly - it's just that the box images you're using are so small they don't reach the full width of the box so it looks like the boxes aren't even. If you increase the size of the images, the boxes will have the appearance you're looking for.

I actually want them aligned to the ken burner slider edges, I don't want them any bigger

First, you'll need to decrease the width of text area below each box so that they are the same width as the images using custom CSS:

That way, they won't be sticking out at the edges when they're adjusted to fit the width of the slider.
