Hi all

I use Godaddy - Ultimate 4GH (shared host)

My web only are a diversion so I have not problem, they have a low price but it is NOT the best, for example

"POSIX functions can not be used on the host shared Godaddy" (they informed me) so you can NOT use the following to wp-config.php right below the WP_DEBUG line:

define( 'LESS_FILE_MODE', true );

So you try another if your web are important and you need speed.

;)

The best type of hosting would certainly always be dedicated server, but if we want to go into specific hosting companies it would then depend on you choosing the appropriate plan for your site's traffic and resource usage.

You also want to ask yourself how much control do you require. In most cases, an optimal environment for PageLines can be achieved with Zippykid, WPEngine, HostGator and obviously PageLines.me. Each of these services offer varying levels of server "environment" (your website's "house") customization and all come with great support. I'd like to throw in MediaTemple's (ve) plan as a good hosting solution if you are comfortable with server administration.

I may elaborate more on this later..

I vote for iWeb Technologies.  Great, affordable dedicated servers.
