Simon has added a filter to 2.3.7 for you. You won't be able to use it until 2.3.7 is released, but here ya go..
add_filter( 'pagelines_pledit_filter', function() { return '%s'; });
^^^ that will make it just "edit" without the ( ).

Hi, is there any way i can remove the parenthesis (hope they are called like this) from the edit command?
I would like to have the simple edit text with no () before and after.
I managed to edit the .pledit button to look as i want it to but looks bad with the (). Also cannot make the font-style normal even with !important. Is there any css inherited?

Hi Denis. It would have to be edited with PHP code, however no one sees that except for administrators of your site, so you shouldn't need to worry about it. To test, logout as admin.

Hi Jenny, thank you. I know that it is only the logged in administrators can see that but for some clients that would also like to have admin roles that thing will appear and it is not ok as long as i have to design it as a nice button. That will also appear for some editors and authors so again, details like that matters to me. Which php code and that might mean un update will ruin the edited code?... mhmmm

Ok, now i love you and Simon more! Do tell him that from me please. A filter just for me? Wow! Love love love! Thank you!
The one minor thing that makes me look stupid remains, cannot find from where the inherited italic comes. I must be tired. If you have anything on that one also i would really appreciate the support. The !important also does nothing.
And i will edit my child theme with the code once 2.3.7 comes out. Thank you for that again. Pagelines in Romanian is coming great also, everyday, the mo / po files are updated on my server. Hope to be something you can use after all you are giving us.

The italics are hard-coded in the theme. You can overwrite them with CSS. Here is the section of code:
To overwrite default CSS, always add a #page to the front. You can try something like:
