The front page of my website, has an (edit) hyperlink beside each of the boxes and banners. It does not seem to affect any other part of the website and it is the only page using template 1. At first I thought it was because I was logged in but, when I logged out and I cleared all my cache, cookies, etc.... still had the same issue. Please let me know how to turn this off.
Thanks,
John McDonald

Hi there, these usually only appear when you're logged in. When i clicked on one of the 'edit' tabs it sends me to your login page. Do you have any caching plugins active? If so please clear them and dump the cache. Then log out and refresh.

Hi James, Jenny put me on that track earlier. I was using WP-Cache and I disabled it, then deactivated it, then deleted it, checked the cache files on the server using FTP and made sure they weren't there. It's still in edit mode on the first page. It's like it thinks that someone with rights is logged in - like there is some kind of meta data for this page. I even updated template #5 with the same features, banners, and boxes and assigned the page to that template. To no avail. I went into pgadmin and saw there were three pages with the same name. Change the name of the actual page from the interface and then deleted the other pages that had the same name.

Pretty sure that pagelines is the culprit here. It's using a class called pledit and referencing the post.php function
<!-- Banners | Section Template -->

Have you any 'permissions' or 'roles' type of plugins? Because those links only show if the user has permission to view them, typically the post author, or admin.

Well, first thing to suggest is deactivate them all except pagelins ones. And if the problem still persists then we can look further.

Excellent suggestion. Co-Authors plus is broken and creates the problem.
Thanks for your help.
