I'm trying to add in Custom Code some css to the feature slider so that the main text displaying below the slider does not display for mobiles as it will always obscure the image. Don't mind if the feature slider title text still displays. I've tried a few tweaks on existing forum posts for related queries, can make the feature slider disappear without prob but not just the text - any help? I've taken out the tweaks now as i wasn't getting anywhere: www.irishlitsoc.org

However, before I send you on a code writing exercise which could be complicated, which slider are you using? The default feature slider? We do have several responsive feature sliders that work much better in mobile view in our store. Please check the selection in

The problem may be that your slides are set in a fixed size, and in mobile view, the elements of the slider overlap the cropped portion of the image. I notice one slide, for example, shows the full excerpt, but another is clipped in mid-text. Thus I believe a responsive slider is the solution for you.

Hi, yes I'm using the default feature slider, will try browser-specific css ahead of having to purchase a responsive slider, don't see any in the store, can you suggest a name? I expected that the built in one would be fully responsive...

Tabber is probably the best for you. Unfortunately, the default slider works best responsively when the mobile view is disabled in Site Options. Ironically, it's fully responsive then. When mobile view is enabled (default) it has been known to react oddly because of custom CSS or image controls applied to it.

Have you added any CSS specific to the slider?

Try disabling mobile view, temporarily.

Many thanks, that's resolved it; have disabled mobile view and its working fine - actually much prefer the way the site responds for mobile with mobile view disabled.

I'll stick with the feature slider over Tabber, prefer the clean unfussy style.

FYI on css: i only added a few lines to the slider to give it a cleaner look:

Using direct input it yields one error. That might be the problem. I think you've used a pre CSS3 snippet.

null is not a vertical-align value : left
I'll fix it up.

Fixed it and the problem persists with text obscuring the slider so just going to go with disabling mobile view
