i would like to implement this:

into a banner.


I have added the custom javascript necessary in pagelines/site options/custom code/header scripts

Question
1) is there another way of doing this so that the code will stay if I update pagelines? I use pagelines customize to edit the css of the whole site, but is there something equivalent for adding in header code?)

1. Anything you do that's included in a Base or Child theme, in dynamic css (Custom Code > CSS Rules) or in the PageLines Customize plugin are protected from future PageLines Framework upgrades or updates.

I dont understand your second answer. I dont see in the link for a short code to create a banner, and why would i want to create a short code banner anyways? I want to specify a specific css file to a specific banner.

A banner is a section, and thus it cannot be included into any CSS element as CSS doesn't serve as a means to call a section. You could implement a specific image file via CSS. But that didn't seem to be what you were asking.

My recommendation was an effort to allow you to implement a specific banner someplace you seek to have it appear.

would i be able to perhaps use an iframe within a banner?
