Hi i have noticed an annoyance with my drop down menu and I can't figure out why its happening. If you hover over one of my nav bar menu button (with a drop down), and then slowly move the pointer arrow towards the drop down menu, the drop down menu jiggles and shifts.

Can anyone see the same issue? know whats causing it and how to fix?

Hi,

You have added your own styling to your Navigation (Nav Classic). This issue is most likely related to your custom CSS, I have just tested the functionality of a drop down menu on a fresh PageLines install and the Nav Classic, has no such issue.

Remove your custom CSS, should resolve the issue.

thats not really an option. Can you see what part of the custom CSS is causing an issue?

Well, Danny's positively correct that the error comes from custom CSS and no, we cannot see what CSS is causing it.

However, as an example under Listings, the first menu item 'jiggles'. The jiggle is simply an inconsistency in your CSS.

Check the CSS you created and make sure the numbers are all the same, ensuring the consistency of height, borders, font-sizes, etc. That's the solution.

Danny was also quite correct in asking you to remove custom CSS. He did not say to delete it permanently. His reason for doing so was to see if the removal of the custom css would yield any persistent problem. You could have copied it to a text file, removed it for testing and replaced it later, which would be the effective method of testing.

Ultimately, this is, as I mentioned before, just an error in your CSS code.

I removed all custom css from my site to see if the menu still has an issue, and it does. Any ideas what could be going on?

In order to remove the issue, i added the following code:

It seems that there was a space between the main nav button and submenu, and when the cursor would cross over that gap, the submenu would jiggle.
