Which Section Could Be Better To Use To Build An Effect Like This

And I do not need that Javascript effect.
So I am planing to use the blog/post mode to do that.
Can I ask, which section should be better to use for the left hand side?
I just checked, there is no "content" or "sidebar" for the "Content Area"

ok thanksThere is no content or sidebar for content area, but there is a left sidebar/one column layout you can use (set it up in Site Options > Layout Editor). You can add the sidebar section to that left sidebar in Drag & Drop and add text widgets to that sidebar in Appearance > Widgets so that you can add content.

thanks for telling:)Widget Logic plugin lets you restrict sidebar widgets from appearing on pages/posts/categories/tags, etc where you don't want it to show. Have you tried it or read its instructions?
