how do i use a text title and site description instead of a graphic logo in pagelines?
i saw another forum post that mentioned referring either this exact issue or a similar one to a pagelines pro. since the wordpress default themes have "done this" for a while - i figure the code is somewhere hackable and sharable so i thought i'd ask.
let us know :-)

To use a text logo instead of a graphic, navigate to WP Admin > Pagelines > Site Options > Website Setup > Custom Logo and remove the url for the logo. Save your changes. This will substitute a graphic for a text logo, which can be edited via WP Admin > General options.
