Hi,
I'm trying to build an mp3 player (using soundmanager2 components) that runs continuously and have got as far as running it with a fixed header, I'm just unable to work out the best route to placing the main content into its own div so that when a navigation link is clicked in the header, the top of the site stays as it is and the main content is loaded dynamically so the mp3 player isn't interrupted.
I am using ajax and jquery so far and have been able to find a solution for the div theory to work but I just can't seem to find the correct .php page to use without breaking the site. The customised fixed header is alive and kicking I just need the main content to load dynamically now and then i'm set.
I've found this useful page and am basing my theory around this functionality:
I'm a music producer and mix engineer and am developing an online mixing service and this music facility is key to my future sites functionality.
Hope I've explained my issue correctly.
Thanks
Nat
How do I add main page content into its own DIV (Ajax / jQuery)

Hi Nat,
Unfortunately, I am unsure how you would implement this type of functionality. I think the best course of action would be to contact one of our Pros and ask there. I will also speak to one of our developers and see if this is even possible and will reply here when I have more information.

Ok, yeah appreciate its a bit of a specialist request, I've actually seen it in action but its just trying to work out the workings behind the scenes and doing it without breaking the main site.
Look forward to hearing anything you might have that can help.
cheers

Hi,
It's been ages since I used that Dynamic Drive system. More than half a decade to be exact.
There are so many plugins to play mp3 files today, and we have sections in the Store for videos. If you're trying to keep the files available to members, or to sell them, there are easier ways.

hey rob,
thats not quite the help I was looking for but cheers anyway...I'm not using dynamic drive and was just trying to explain by using a simple reference point of the functionality I'm after.....
I'm not after a plugin and am building my own bespoke music database and player thats unique for my requirements (its not an mp3 store or anything like that)
The main functionality is for my clients to browse the site whilst being able to continue to listen to the audio, without the audio stopping on page reload.
Its all good anyway as have found a solution based on my theory and have a developer who is implementing it for me.
