I'm a newbie. Trying to get this site up and running.

Have added NivoPlugin but now header is not showing.

Can you have header and Nivo together???

You can try with Features or QuickSlider
I believe that you don´t need a plugin

Nivo may attempt to replace or add a different version of jQuery that can break your site. I'm not sure that it is doing so, only that it's possible.

Make sure that in Dashboard > PageLines > Drag & Drop the Branding is present, if you wish to use it.

Batman's suggestions were excellent.
