NextGEN Gallery - how and where do I style the gallery description text on NextGen?

Hello everybody!
I have asked the question above in the wordpress support forum already (1 week ago) but no one has answered. I am reaching out to this forum since I know that there are really talented people here who may be able to shed some light.
I have a page called "art movements":
where using NextGen I have an album with several NextGen galleries.
When you click on a gallery no gallery description shows although you can input the text when you create the gallery. There is no way to display or style the text with NextGen gallery.
I researched it and found the way to get the text to show by adding this bit of code:
<?php echo $gallery->description ?>
to the gallery.php.
I did this with one gallery as a test:
see:
Now I can see the description but here is the problem, how and where do I style this text?
I would like to:
1. change the font size and weight of the gallery title; and
2. change the font size, weight and alignment of the description text.
There is no way to do this with NextGen and I can't figure out how to do it.
Anyone know how and where do I style the gallery description text on NextGen?
Thank you very much in advance.

Selector: Used to select the page element you want to change (in this case, the page element you want to change is your gallery description).
Attribute: Property that determines what kind of change you want (you’re changing the gallery description, so the attributes you want to use are the font style attributes).
To find the selector for the gallery description, you'll need to use Firebug (or Chrome Development tools). To learn how to use Firebug for CSS customizations, please read and follow these instructions:
For help with the font style attributes, please see these instructions: http://w3schools.com/css/css_text.asp

Thank you for the information. However this is bit too general for me as I am very new to all of this.
It would be more helpful if you were too send me the sample code so I could go from there?
Thank you.

Thank you so much. It works!
The only thing is that the code you sent me changes both the text of the gallery title and the text of the gallery description.
I want to do 2 separate things here:
1. change the font size and weight of the gallery title; and
2. change the font size, weight and alignment of the gallery description text.
Can you send me the right code to do the 2 separate things above: Gallery Title and Gallery Description?
Thanks again.

Yes. But now I have a bigger problem! I can't see to go to my site or even work on it from wordpress.org.
I get these error messages!
Server error
The website encountered an error while retrieving http://www.arttrustmasters.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=PageLines-Admin. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
What is this? How do I fix this? Help!
Go to www.arttrustmasters.com
How do I add an attachment here (screenshots) so you can see what I mean?

If you're receiving this message, login to your FTP client and connect to your site. Once there, go to where your Wordpress files are contained, in there look for a file called .maintenance if there, delete this file and then refresh your website and you should be able to access the file.
If no such file exists, you will need to contact your web host provider, as only they will be able to investigate your issue.

Thanks so much for the reply.
Where exactly would this file be?
There is a file called wp-admin and then inside this a file called maint and inside it there is a file called repair.php
How do I attach files here so you can see screenshots?
If you want you can take a look at the files yourself. I can give you the sign-in.
Thanks,
Marlene

Do not delete /pagelines
However, things like Mud, PageLines Base, Ignite, etc may be deleted. You can reinstall later.

Presto! Thank you! It worked.
Can you tell me how I preserve my current files, (hence why I wanted a child theme), as there is a pagelines update and I don't want to lose the modifications I have made?
Thanks again.

Using the base child theme you can save you're custom css and any hooks/filters to prevent them being overwritten during an update. You can also use the customize plugin. Details of each can be found here
We'd also advise you to backup your
Also you can export your framework settings via Pagelines>Dashboard>import/export.
Hope this helps

Thanks for the info.
Is there not a way to create a child theme from your existing theme ( a clone so to speak ) like other templates have?
I have a already made customizations to several php files and I do not recall anymore exactly what they all were!

You can not create a child theme based on PageLines Framework and you shouldn't edit any of the core php files, it will most certainly cause errors.
If you wish to use a child theme to customise, then you will need to either use the Base child theme or the PageLines Customisation plugin.
