I need to know how to add a phone number to the header section of my website. I have multiple pageline sites and this is something frequently requested by clients. I have done using a image in the past but would like to be able to customize the area above the branding icons if possible. I have installed the pagelines customize plugin but do not know where to go from there.

You'll need to use a hook to add the phone number.

I did this but am having a problem with getting the text above the icons on the right side. I made the font h9 and am trying to use css in the custom code section to manipulate the placement and size of the font. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Instead of trying to use H9, which I doubt the system will recognize, try wrapping your hook into divs. Something unique like
